During the last years the Yeltsin Fund together with the house-museum of M. M Prishvin published the early not published journals of the writer. Eight books published by the moment cover the period from 1914 to 1935. In his journals M. M. Prishvin describes his everyday life and at the same time shows the life of the society at that dramatic period of our history.


By the instrumentality of the Yeltsin Fund the "Raduga" publishing - house published the book by B. M. Nosik " Brittany and Normandy".


The Russian Embassy hosted a solemn ceremony of the "Russian Award in Spain" it was the first award for the best literary translation from Russian into Spanish. Along with other international awards established in the UK, France, Germany and Italy, this award is appealed to attract the attention of the general European public to the Russian language, history and culture.


On March 18, 2009 the organizational committee of the "Russian Award" International Literature Competition announced the "short list" of nominees for the award according to the results of the year of 2008. It included eight foreign Russian writers from 6 countries of the world: Germany, Denmark, Canada, Latvia, the USA and South Ossetia.


On March 4 the press conference took place at the Yeltsin Fund where the "long list" of international literature competition "Russian Award" was announced. Participants: Tatyana Volkovskaya, the author and the head of the competition, Sergey Chuprinin, the chairman of the jury and the chief editor of the "Znamya" magazine, writers and members of the competition jury German Sadulayev and Andrey Kurkov, and also the chairman of the Yeltsin Fund, Yuriy Radionov.


On Friday Feb 27, 2009 took place the solemn ceremony of giving Ivan Petrovich Belkin Award.


The press conference will take place at the Fund of Yeltsin on March 4, 2009 from 12 pm to 13.00 pm where the "long list" of the candidates of the "Russian Award" International Literature Competition of 2008 will be announced.


The following meeting took place within the regular seminar called "Poland and Russia in search of mutual understanding" and was devoted to the Russian - Polish relationship in the XVII century.


In the beginning of every year the Fund of the First President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin announces the delivery of grants to the young Russian tennis players, who are the hope of Russian tennis.


Within the framework of cooperation the Foreign Cultural Centers Promotion Fund donated more than 1000 copies of modern Russian economics and politics, science and business, legislation and law, encyclopaedic, reference and fiction editions to the National Library of Lithuania. The Library also received access to the «Library science and information service» Russian electronic database.
